Fundamental Professional Competence Standards
Detailed Regulation of Professional Competency Evaluation (Dept. of Business Administration)
- To enhance students' competitiveness for further studies and future employment, these "Implementation Bylaws for Professional Basic Competency Assessment of the Department of Business Administration, Ming Chuan University" (hereinafter referred to as "the Bylaws") are established in accordance with the "Ming Chuan University Enforcement Rules for Student Graduation Qualification Assessment."
- Undergraduate students enrolled from the 2010 academic year onwards must pass the University's graduation competency standards for "English Proficiency," "Information Technology Proficiency," "Chinese Proficiency," and "Sports Ability," as well as the "Basic Competency" assessment standards stipulated in these Bylaws, to be eligible for graduation.
- Students are required to pass the basic competency assessment prior to graduation. The assessment categories and criteria are as follows:
- Undergraduate students of the Department who fail to meet the professional competency assessment standards specified in the preceding article prior to graduation must take an additional 3 credits of professional elective courses designated by the Department for each unmet assessment item, up to a maximum of 12 credits. Students will only be eligible for graduation after passing these courses.
- Students who have passed the basic competency assessment standards must submit their transcripts or other relevant supporting documents to the Department for review. Upon approval, the result will be recorded as "Pass" on their academic record.
- These Bylaws shall be implemented upon approval by the Department Affairs Committee, the College Affairs Committee, and the Academic Affairs Committee, and after being reported to and ratified by the President. The same procedure shall apply to any future amendments.
